Jennifer Cichon - B.Sc K, M.ScPT, CAFCI

Owner / Physiotherapist

Jen is a physiotherapist and the proud owner of Airdrie Physiotherapy & Massage. She graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and went on to complete her Masters in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston. She has been a practicing physiotherapist since 2006 and was the clinic director for a large company in Calgary. She is passionate about helping people get better and improve their quality of life. She believes in personalized, hands-on treatment and education as opposed to only machine based treatment.

Jen cares about her patients. This is reflected in each treatment and experience with her. She has completed Level 3 in Manual Therapy and is certified in acupuncture and hip rehabilitation. Jen has completed the Diagnostic Imaging course through the University of Alberta and has completed post graduate courses for the foot and hips as well as myofascial release.

She enjoys skiing, hiking and is an avid runner having completed many half marathons over the years. She is a proud mother and loves spending time with her husband and children when she’s not helping people get better.

Eyal Okin - B.PT, CMS, Dry Needling


Eyal is a University of Haifa graduate and holds a degree in  Physiotherapy (2006). He is certified in manual therapy and has the dry needling certification for treating chronic myofascial and neuropathic pain in the spine and extremities.  He brings experience working as a physical therapist with a variety of athletes, including those playing elite level soccer, baseball, and crossfit.

Eyal has a keen interest in treating shoulder, elbow and wrist injuries, knee injuries and surgeries, neck and back spinal pain, chronic spinal nerve related pain, multiple trauma and chronic pain as a result of motor vehicle accidents.  He believes in integrating manual therapy, dry needling, myofascial release, taping and exercise prescription in a multi-modal approach to treatment for success in healing and recovery.

Eyal is fluent in English, Russian and Hebrew.

Ken Luu - MScPT, CAFCI


Ken graduated from the University of Alberta in 2006 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. He has also obtained his Certificate of Anatomical Acupuncture (CAFCI) from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and his Level 2 Certificate for Functional Dry Needling (IMS) from Kineticore. Ken is also a Kinesio Taping provider after completing the KT1 and KT2 courses with Kinesio Taping Canada, and has completed Level 3 of the Advanced Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy Courses
A lifelong student of martial arts, Ken has incorporated the self improvement philosophies of the various styles he has trained in into his treatment approach. This includes a combination of manual therapy, acupuncture, IMS/dry needling, and most importantly an individualized exercise program for each client to improve their specific condition.
Ken currently enjoys training in Muay Thai in his spare time. He has also previously trained in Tai Chi, San Shou, holds a 2nd degree black belt in Chito Ryu Karate, and a 1st degree black belt in Ko Bu Jutsu.

Stephanie Petten - B.Sc K, M.ScPT, STOTT Pilates Instructor, Pelvic Health Physio


Steph graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in 2009 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. She has completed her certification in level 2 Functional Dry Needling (IMS),acupuncture, advanced hip rehabilitation, pelvic floor health as well as shoulder, neck & back rehabilitation. She is experienced in working with orthopedic injuries, and neurological conditions, in both adults and children, and has recently began to expand her practice in pre and post-natal care. She is a certified STOTT Pilates instructor and believes in using Pilates based exercise for rehabilitation and conditioning.   

Steph believes in living an active well-balanced life style and enjoys regular practices in yoga and Pilates. She believes in a holistic approach to treatment including a combination of hands-on techniques, exercise, and education to promote the long term health and wellness of her patients. 

Steph is a proud new mom and enjoys spending her spare time with her husband and son. She has a passion for traveling and exploring. As a lover of the outdoors you can find her in the mountains or the ocean, hiking, paddle boarding, or surfing.

Marika deWinter - B.Sc K, M.ScPT


Marika graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick and from Dalhousie University with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. Marika is level 1 Manual Therapy certified and has also completed a course on concussion prevention and management. Marika has experience working with elite soccer and volleyball players as an on-field student therapist. 

Marika enjoys staying active in free time with running, weight lifting, skiing, and hiking. She  moved to Calgary from the east coast and is excited to see all that the mountains have to offer. Marika believes in an active approach to rehabilitation involving exercise, education, and hands-on treatment to ensure that her patients are reaching their maximum potential. Marika is very excited to start her career with the Airdrie  Physiotherapy & Massage team! 

Marhanda Keeping - B.Sc K, M.ScPT


Marhanda graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Saskatchewan. She is a co-author of a research study investigating the pressures placed through feet with the use of different walking aids to shed light onto which walking aids should be prescribed to individuals that are non-weight bearing. Marhanda has worked for the PAAL program through the University of Saskatchewan which is a program designed to offer physical activity opportunities to children with both physical and intellectual disabilities. These experiences have motivated Marhanda in patient education and fostering self-efficacy.


Marhanda moved to Alberta to be close to family and her two dogs. She is originally from Northern British Columbia and is excited to be close to the mountains again. She leads an active lifestyle of spin classes and hiking. Her treatment style is encouraging active participation in exercises complimented with manual therapy. Marhanda is eager to help people participate in life as fully as possible and meet them where they are at.

Brittany Crowe - B.Sc Kin, M.ScPT, Dry Needling - On Maternity Leave

Brittany graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and continued her education at the University of Alberta where she completed her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. Brittany has completed her certifications in Level 1 in Manual Therapy, AFLCA Group Exercise Trainer, Dry Needling, and CSEP Certified Personal Trainer.

Brittany brings her enthusiasm for learning to the team and a passion for helping people recover and stay active. She believes in an educational approach to recovery to help her patients avoid future problems. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys dance, mostly ballet and jazz. She strives to maintain a healthy lifestyle including spending time outdoors and camping.

Brittany is excited to be part of the team at Airdrie Physiotherapy & Massage where patients come first!

Chantal Harrison

Registered Massage Therapist 2200Hr - Independent Contractor

Chantal graduated from the 2200-hour Massage Therapy Diploma course at Mount Royal University. She is passionate about helping people and making sure they get the treatment they need.


She enjoys treating people through specific types of massage such as myofascial release, trigger point release, deep tissue massage and therapeutic massage to ensure rehabilitation and an improvement in daily living.

Kristen Olijnyk

Registered Massage Therapist 2200Hr - Independent Contractor

Kristen was born and raised in the small town of Belle River, Ontario. There she completed her 2200 hour Massage Therapy Diploma at the Canadian College of Heath Sciences & Technology in 2008. Once finishing her diploma, Kristen then took the next steps to becoming a fully certified RMT, and a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Shortly after this, Kristen decided to make the move to Calgary, to start a new chapter in her life. Once she arrived in Calgary, Kristen was quick to become a member of the Massage Therapists Association of Alberta, and started working in spas, before moving on to a Physiotherapy Clinic. With Kristen’s varied background in different working environments she is well rounded in relaxation and deep tissue, as well as massage for sports related injuries.

Kristen is always striving to increase her knowledge base and give her clients the best service possible.   Kristen volunteers at running marathons and works with charity groups. In 2011, Kristen joined the Canadian Cancer Society and worked with them to create the “Charity Chair Massage” event to raise money and awareness for their organization.

Kristen is a very high energy person, and likes to stay healthy by working out and doing cardio with her dog, Copper. She loves the water, and gets as humanly close as possible to large bodies of it whenever possible. When she gets the chance, she enjoys going boating and fishing.

Shadhi Empringham

Registered Massage Therapist 3000Hr - Independent Contractor

Shadhi Is a graduate from MaKami College’s 3,000 hour Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy diploma program. She focuses her treatments on Orthopedic Assessment, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point therapy, Joint Mobilizations and Deep tissue Massage in order to promote the healing and rehabilitation of muscles. She has pursued continuing education in the advanced treatment of soft tissue injuries and Cyriax frictions. Her mission is to provide therapeutic massage in an effort to cultivate the wellness of both client and self. 

When she is not working, she can be found spending time outdoors with her friends, family, and her dogs.

Sheryl McFadzean

Registered Massage Therapist 2200Hr - Independent Contractor

Sheryl has been a massage therapist since 2001. She graduated from the Lethbridge College in 2001 with honors and on December 2013 she wrote and passed her 2200hr Competency Equivalency Exam (CEE) at Mount Royal University. 

      Sheryl is trained in a wide variety of techniques such as Trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, myo-fascial cupping, and basic Lymphatic drainage. In 2003 she worked at the University of Lethbridge Health and Wellness centre  performing massage therapy to students and faculty members, and in conjunction with medical doctors and onsite chiropractors and physiotherapists. 
In 2016 Sheryl traveled to the Mayan Riviera on a massage conference to learn Integrated Ear, Hand, and Foot reflexology for injury and pain. She loves to continuously learn new techniques to better aide her clients needs.

 When she is not not working, Sheryl loves to travel and be outdoors. She is happiest camping outside or hiking. In 2013 she attempted the West Coast Trail. You will have to ask her about all the stories with that adventure!

Selena Porter

Registered Massage Therapist 3000Hr - Independent Contractor

Selena is a graduate of MaKami College’s 3,000 hour Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy program. With a passion for Healing and Rehabilitation, Selena excels at Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy and Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage. 

She incorporates a variety of different techniques to personalize each clients treatment plan, including but not limited to: Orthopedic Assessment, Myofascial release, hydrotherapy, joint mobilization, Trigger Point Therapy, and Stretching techniques.

Selena is always looking to expand her repertoire of knowledge so that she can better assist her clients through their therapy. She brings to the team a big empathetic heart, a smile and a great sense of humour.

When she is not at work, she loves to spend time with her two dogs, doing photography, and working on her various painting and wire weaving jewelry projects.

Marites Sinco

Registered Massage Therapist 2200Hr - Independent Contractor

Marites graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Ontario in 2015.  She became a Registered Massage Therapist because in her homeland of the Philippines, massage is a traditional healing practice for those who are in pain.  Focusing on a new career path, she saw the RMT program as a challenge to herself to help people in her care to find the best suited treatment plan.  During her schooling, she gained knowledge of human anatomy to gain a better understanding of how the body works.  In her clinical experience, she has honed her skills to relieve muscle aches and pains, improve joint movement, and provide home care exercises to promote health and wellness.  She is trained in general Swedish Massage, Hydrotherapy treatment, Myofascial release, Trigger point, Lymphatic drainage, Joint mobilization, TMJ treatment, and cupping.  Marites’s pressure is moderate to deep.  She is an active member of the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA).  In her spare time, Marites loves being outdoors, and enjoys cooking walking, and camping.

Charlene Misura

Registered Massage Therapist 2200Hr - Independent Contractor

After completing the foot reflexology program in Victoria with the Canadian Reflexology School in 2011, Charlene was eager to be a part of the healing process for her clients and decided to pursue massage therapy.  Charlene graduated from MH Vicars in Calgary from the 2200 Hour program in 2019.  She has successfully completed the OSCE and MCQ government exams in Newfoundland.

Along with relexology, Charlene enjoys therapeutic massage, myofascial release, trigger point release and lymphatic drainage.  She looks forward to continued education and adding more modalities to ensure clients receive the best care.

In her free time, she enjoys being outside, meditating, and being with family and friends making memories.

Erika Schultz BKin, C. Ped (C)


Erika was born and raised in Banff, AB.   She completed the Honours Kinesiology program at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario then studied Pedorthics at Western University in London, Ontario.  She has worked with Rob Sunderland for two years. 


Erika is very passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle and helping patients get back to doing the activities they enjoy.  


Outside of work Erika enjoys running, hiking, skiing and snowboarding. 


Shayla Oldfield

Office Manager

Shayla is a graduate from the school of business at SAIT

Shayla grew up in Calgary and has many years of experience in medical field. 

Jenessa Wiebe

Office Administrator

Jenessa grew up in Surrey, BC and is now a happy resident of Airdrie.

Likely one of the first faces you will see when entering our office, she looks forward to ensuring your experience with us is positive and any questions you have are answered.


When not at work, Jenessa often spends her time cooking, knitting and relaxing with her cats, friends, and family.

Shelly Hart


Shelly grew up in Toronto but has been in Alberta for over 20 years.  She has been in customer service for 20 years and enjoys helping people.


When not at work her time is spent, cooking, knitting, reading, watching MMA, walking her dog and spending time with her family and grandson.

Jesse Ewers


Jesse was born & raised in Calgary and has over 10 years customer service experience.

She loves spending time with her sons & family, photography & cooking.
